The Living Library
In this workshop, illustrated books come to life through our creations. We call it the Living Library because we start by reading together the chosen books and, from them, we create with collective imagination, with our hands and our words, immersing ourselves into the story of the book until we get to another form of creative expression besides the literary one; plastic expressions, staging, sound pieces or audiovisual works could come to life; perhaps, even other illustrated books may emerge.
Aimed at children of elementary and preschool age, throughout November we will delve into the world of chocolate, using it as the raw material for our creations, inspired by the book "El Berrinche de Moctezuma", by Nuria Gómez Benet and Santiago Solís Montes de Oca, published by Ekaré.
Starting in January, The Living Library will be offered quarterly throughout the school year, working with books in both Catalan and Spanish, as well as in other languages, including the "insect language". Some examples of the books we will be delving into are:

- "El pequeño robot de madera y la princesa tronco," by Tom Gauld, published by Penguin Books.
- "Mau Iz Io?" by Carson Ellis, edited by Barbara Fiore.
- "El museo de Tronquito", by Ashild Kanstad Johnsen, published by Nordica Libros.
- "El llop, l'ànec i el ratolí", by Mac Barnett and John Klassen, published by Editorial Juventud.

Pre-registration is needed, so please write us or give us a call.
